12 May 2017

Between the 24th and 28th of April 2017, the International Hydrographic Organization (IHO) held its Assembly in Monaco. Member states of the IHO gathered in order to define strategic technical and administrative decisions.

13 partners of the EMODnet High Resolution Seabed Mapping project, through their national Hydrographic Office (Belgium, Germany, France, Italy, Sweden, Norway, Portugal, Croatia, Latvia, Portugal, Holland) and industrial representation (EOMAP, OceanWise) were present at the Assembly.

EMODnet Bathymetry has been cited on multiple occasions as a successful regional project involving both hydrographic offices and research institutes with complementing approaches in terms of data coverage and methodologies (acquisition, processing and validation).
